Relationships Among Reading Interest, Reading Self-Efficacy, And Reading Competency In The Junior High School

The objective of this study was to describe and relate the students’ reading interest, self-efficacy students competency in Junior High School Singaraja. This applied quantitative research. There were 94 as samples by using cluster quota sampling. data collected through a interest scale, an test. obtained analyzed descriptively inferentially. descriptive analysis consisted central tendency measures dispersion. While inferential analysis, pair-wise correlation multiple technique. findings show that: 1) self-efficacy, on high-order-items proven be at moderate levels; 2) relations pair-wisely between competency, are positively significantly correlated; 3) simultaneous relationships is significant. In order develop high school EFL teachers should provide literacy programs reading. Previous researches that literacy-rich environments tend effective ways support development sharing book readings. trained millennial strategy, emphasizing four skill dimensions, namely critical thinking reading, creative effort processes, collaborative endeavors working high-order-items, communicative skills out indicators.
